Service Description

Tui Na uses Chinese Taoist principles to bring the body into balance. The name comes from two of the movement’s uses, tui, which means to push and an, which means to lift and squeeze. Tui Na is one of the Chinese healing arts of deep massage and manipulation for well-being. These massage movements and techniques can be adapted to suit your client, as they stimulate Chi and blood supply to assist in the body’s healing processes. The massage is practised over clothes but can also be performed on the skin with oil. There are many movements that the therapist will use, including: pushing, brushing, kneading, rolling, pressing, rubbing and lifting. These movements are specifically used to open the body’s defensive Chi and move the energy in the meridians and muscles.
